This scholarship is funded by the generous donations of FOL members and supporters who firmly believe in helping to make higher education a reality for our young people.
Award Criteria:
Awards are given to eligible college bound graduating high school seniors who had involvement in our LIFT (Leaders in Faith Training) high school ministry and other ministries/activities at FOL and/or or whose family has been a part of Fountain of Life for multiple years.
The greater percentage of all funds collected during the funding cycle will be awarded to all eligible students in EQUAL amounts.
Additional merit based awards will be given to students based on their level of participation in LIFT high school ministry (verified by program attendance records) AND their participation in other ministries (verified by the ministry lead/ head).
The selection criterion for additional merit based awards are as follows:
Tier 1. Those with 50% or greater participation in LIFT and other ministries/activities during grades 9-12.
Tier 2. Those with less than 50% participation but greater than 20% in LIFT and other ministries grades 9-12.
Tier 3. Those who had less than 20% participation in LIFT and other ministries; students and their families are members but may not be regular church attendees.
All award decisions will be based on a fully completed applicant submission form. All information submitted by the student is subject to verification. Proof of Fall 2024 college enrollment is required prior to any distribution of awards. Awards in excess of $600 will require student to complete a W-9 Form and provide Social Security Number. All award decisions are determined by the Scholarship Team Ministry and are final.
