1. We believe that there is one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2. We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Spirit and born to the Virgin Mary; that Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead; that He ascended into Heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our intercessor. After Jesus ascended to Heaven, He poured out His Holy Spirit on the believers, enabling them to fulfill His command to preach the Gospel to the entire world, an obligation shared by all believers today.
3. We believe in the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit whose presence enables the Christian to live a holy, victorious, power-filled and service-oriented life.
4. We believe the Holy Bible is the inspired and infallible written Word of God.
5. We believe that God created the world by His Word alone, and for His pleasure. All creation’s purpose is to reflect God’s glory back to God.
6. We believe that the main purpose of life is to glorify God and enjoy God forever. All humans were created in the image of God and are capable of receiving His grace; worthy of hearing His good news, and charged with living lives free from the bondage of sin.
7. We believe that all people are, by nature, separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person becomes truly repentant, turns from sin, accepts Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior, and trusting Jesus to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit; all his/her sins are forgiven; and that person becomes a child of God, destined to spend eternity with the Lord
8. We believe in the healing of the total person (mind, body and spirit), and the continuous outpouring of blessing and grace upon the church.
9. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in the Bible (1 Corinthians 12-13), and that they are valid for today if exercised within biblical guidelines. As believers we are to desire the best gifts, seeking to exercise them in love for the benefit of the entire Church. We believe that love is more important than the most spectacular gifts. Without this love, the exercise of spiritual gifts is worthless.
10. We believe that Christians are to be baptized with water, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Baptism is an expression of our faith in the crucified, buried, and risen Savior—that He has freed us from sin and given us new life, both today and in Heaven.
11. We believe that the Lord’s Supper commemorates the dying love of Christ, celebrated by all Christians.
12. We believe the Christian Church is created by the Holy Spirit as a gathering of believers associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel; observing the ordinances of Christ; governed by His laws; and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His word.
13. We believe that the Church is set apart from the world by the Holy Spirit, and that the sinfulness of Christians over history has not persuaded God to remove His grace and His Spirit from the Church. Neither has God relieved the church of our burden to announce His Kingdom to all creation.
14. We believe that the Church is to pursue justice and peace for all in our communities, with particular concern for the poor, oppressed, prisoner, widow, and orphan. (Micah 6:8; Jeremiah 29:7; Luke 4:18-19)
15. We believe that the power of Christ’s death and resurrection calls us to be family with God and each other, built together to become a dwelling as one body in which God lives by His Spirit. God’s power is on display as people across racial, gender, socioeconomic, ethnic, and generational differences become one people, united in love, peace, and service together in our differences through Christ. Christ is our peace, destroying the barriers and walls of hostility, to make us a multicultural community. (Ephesians 2:11-22; Galatians 3:28)
