Hello FOL Family. Here is the structure of an Old Testament Psalm of Rescue & Thanksgiving (that I shared in my sermon on October 15, 2023):
1. Introduction
2. Description of misery that was experienced
3. Description of appeal for rescue
4. Indication of rescue
5. Testimonial or vow to live out appreciation.
In light of how God has shown you victory in the past, I’d like for you to construct a personal testimony psalm. (See Psalms 18, 30, 32, 66 & 116 for examples.) Work at shaping your own psalm… especially the testimony/vow portion. Please feel free to share with my via email. I’d love to share a few (with your permission, of course!)
