Come Away

by Derek Miller
In the misting of the morning
In the cool of the day
In the twilight of the evening
I hear Your Spirit say,
“Come away, come away my bride.
“Come away, take your place at My side!”

Like an echo on the waters
Your whisper fills my ear
As I catch my breath to listen
I find Your grace so near
“Come and hear, come and hear My voice.
“Come and hear, over you I will rejoice!”

Fill up the oil of my lamp
And keep it burning throughout the night
When You come with the shout of the morning
May my flame be found burning bright
Lord, I look with anticipation
For the day of Your grand return
You are everything that I long for
Lord, come quickly, the fire burns

In the stillness of the starlight
In the silence of the snow

Your gentleness pursues me,
Your mercies to bestow
“Come and know, come and know My peace.
“I will show you the place where sorrows cease!”
